JAPAN: Robbie Eagles update

August 27, 2012

Robbie Eagles is about to finish off his very successful 3 month tour for ZERO1 Japan. Eagles was the winner of the 1st ever FIGHTING SPIRIT CHALLENGE held in Adelaide earlier this year which brought him to the land of the rising sun. All reports say that the youngest member of the Eagles family has impressed both fans and officials alike as he was positioned to team with ZERO1 junior heavyweight legend Ikuto Hidaka for much of the tour. After several high profile matches that appeared on Samurai TV, this past weekend he became one of the first Australians to compete on Pay-Per-View as he featured in a Tenka-Ichi Jr. Tournament Preview Match in Yokohama.

Robbie Eagles delivers a crushing double knee strike to Irish fighter Sean Guinness on PPV in Yokohama, Japan!

We would like to congratulate Robbie Eagles on his successes overseas and look forward to seeing him compete in ZERO1 Australia in the near future. ZERO1 Japan now have a keen eye on the 2nd FIGHTING SPIRIT CHALLENGE to be held in Auckland, New Zealand on September 30th. There are still some spots available for any Oceania citizens (Australia/New Zealand).
