AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP – TRIPLE THREAT MATCH

Ryan Eagles(c) w/ Mark Aiston vs. ‘Jag’ Hartley Jackson vs. Damian Slater

Although Sydney’s RYAN EAGLES dodged a bullet by being removed from the signed LAST MAN STANDING match with ROBBY HEART, he has still been forced by ZERO1 Commissioner TOM CHOCOLATE to defend his Championship at ZERO TOLERANCE. CHOCOLATE has announced that EAGLES will have to face not one, but two top contenders at the same time with his most prized possession on the line!

Has Ryan Eagles finally bitten off more than he can chew?

The 1st contender will be a former 2x time AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPION in ‘JAG’ HARTLEY JACKSON. One of the most celebrated Australian wrestlers of the modern era, JACKSON was the 1st and only man to simultaneously hold the NWA AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL, PWA HEAVYWEIGHT and ZERO1 UNITED NATIONAL titles. Since losing his championships, JACKSON has focused on getting into the best shape of his career and has refined his ability by competing in Japan with some of the world’s very best. It has been 2 years since JACKSON has had his shot at the belt. Can Adelaide’s most experienced fighter become the first 3-time AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION?

The other challenger will be an individual who despite being close on multiple occasions, has never held the AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. DAMIAN SLATER last fought for the gold against RYAN EAGLES back in July of 2012 but after some questionable tactics from EAGLES’ agent MARK AISTON, was unsuccessful in his plea. Since then SLATER proved his worth by defeating Japanese Junior Heavyweight legend IKUTO HIDAKA in November. SLATER too is in the prime of his career after spending considerable time travelling the globe and will be fighting to reach the next level as the champion of Australia.

Can Slater finally earn the Championship that has eluded him for 5 years?

The 1st and only time the AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP was on the line between 3 challengers, the title switched hands without the existing champion being pinned. The TRIPLE THREAT rules make this an unpredictable match that will surely be EAGLES’ toughest task yet. Just who will walk away from ZERO TOLERANCE as the king of the mountain?
