AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

Damian Slater(c) vs. ‘Jag’ Hartley Jackson

On February 8th a rivalry of old becomes resurrected as new champion DAMIAN SLATER makes his 1st title defence against ‘Jag’ HARTLEY JACKSON! In 2007 it was a fresh faced SLATER who stood toe to toe JACKSON who was at the absolute peak of his career. The two tore it down all over Australia but it was more than often JACKSON who left the young rookie reeling. However times have certainly changed.

Slater currently stands at the top of a nation, but it will be more than a mission to stay there.

Since that hot summer’s night 7 years ago, both men have made a name for themselves overseas as well as in their home country of Australia. In November, SLATER became one of the elite few to have held the AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP by ending the 500 day reign of RYAN EAGLES.  Earlier in the night it was JACKSON who made headlines by turning his back on teammate ROBBY HEART, seemingly returning back to the conniving, careless bully of old.

“It wasn’t personal. I don’t care for Robby Heart just like I don’t care for anybody else. I went from simultaneously holding major championships around the world, to being a loser who pandered to the crowd. That’s not who I am. I’m a piece of **** who will punch you in the mouth. There’s a championship that should be around my waist right now and if I have to break Slater’s legs to get it back, I’ll do it with a smile on my face” said Jackson.

JACKSON is a former 2-time AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPION and with a victory at RESURRECTION, he could become the first ever 3-time champion. In his way stands a resilient champion in the prime of his career. Whoever walks out of this one with the gold will surely have deserved the label of ‘the best in the nation’. You will not want to miss this match-up between 2 of Australia’s best!
